Watercolors

While I dabbled a bit with watercolors in high school, my true love for it began in earnest in the spring of 2014.  As a water spirit, I was drawn to the medium by nature. I like the convenience in needing relatively few materials and how quickly things dry so that you can move on to the next stroke, the next wash of shading or flick of detail. I love how you can leave some artistic liberties to the water itself, adding droplets and splats of color to settle as they will in the open air. With each piece I feel myself get lost in the brush and the paper and the liquidy strokes.
